After a year most automakers would rather forget, 2011 brings the latest crop of fuel-efficient small cars. Emerging from Detroit are the Chevrolet Cruze and Ford Fiesta; Mazda also has a new entry-level car, the Mazda2. From those to the hybrid Lexus CT 200h and plug-in hybrid Chevy Volt, it's clear that energy efficiency is the order of the day.
